Alchemy
I stumbled across a paint package called Alchemy that helps inspire the creativity of the mind by doing lots of randomness.
I came up with the demon's legs and head randomly, then added the door frame and tweaked the rest in a traditional paint program.
It took a while but definitely something I'll use in the future.
